RETRACTABLE UNDERCARRIAGE

 

   The model has a damped undercarriage that retracts under the wings. The retracting mechanism is manually driven by a gear under the battery box. The two carriages move simultaneously (and simetrically) as long as the central gear is moved.

PROPELLER SYSTEM

 

   The propeller and the two cilyndre engine are driven by a standard Power Functions motor. A gear system increments the rotation speed.

   The gear system uses a gear with internal friction. This avoiding any possible personal damages in the event of touching the rotating helix.

COCKPIT CANOPY

 

   The cockpit has a practicable canopy. In the inner of the flight deck you can see the pilot's seat, the simulated control stick and the instrument panel.

 

FLIGHT DECK

 

   Because his floating design, the instrument panel acts as the on/off switch for the battery box. Thus, the motor start/stop is easily controled.

   In the flight deck you can see a specially designed pilot seat.

 

   Eventually you can replace the instrument panel and the pilot seat by an IR Power Functions receiver in order to remotely control the motor and, if added, some lights.

RETURN TO CENTER

 

   An elastic band system in the underside of the model guarantees the return to the center position for the the rudder and for the ailerons control .

   Under the two elastic tapes you can see the double axle system that controls the rudder and the direction wheel across the tail.

   The universal joint in the lower right is used to transfer rotary motion from the spoilers rotary control to the spoilers elevation system.
